Heathens Prayer. What would compel a heathen to turn to prayer? The worst news. In my case my mother’s suicide. I know from that experience that no amount of screaming could stop what had happened. But I did find myself bargaining with God, even though I am an atheist. Loss is such a painful human emotion and this song explores our cry for mercy in the wake of grief.
